Between February and August 2021, Skyhook was contracted by DFFC Ltd to airlift deer fencing materials. The ultimate purpose was to enclose new tree planning schemes in the area surrounding the Rest and Be Thankful car park. This work was completed over 3 visits. Several unique challenges faced Skyhook operations department and flight crews both during the set-up process and in the actual flying.These included the safe management of traffic in proximity to a main trunk road, terrain and weather concerns, the involvement and management of third-party stakeholders and the inflexibility of the job program due to external factors.Skyhooks operations team were able to, through effective communication with all parties and proactive risk assessing of both commercial and H&S risks, set up the job smoothly and safely. The skill of our highly trained Pilots and Task Specialists ensured job completeion on schedule and on budget.
